ABOUT ME GUSTA MUSIC
Founded in 2010 by Trina Smith, Me Gusta Music is dedicated to record and publishing administration; allowing record labels, writers, publishers, and artists to focus on their creative tasks at hand. Our expert team has worked in the music administration industry for more than 15 years—we know the ins and outs of the admin world, ensuring that all paperwork, registration and licensing is handled professionally and correctly.
Trina Smith left the frozen tundra of Wisconsin to pursue her passion for the music industry. After completing her degree at MTSU, Smith went on to work for Create Real Music, a publishing company that housed hit writers Kent Blazy and Chris Tompkins. From there, she started on her administrative path - working for a large publishing admin company in Nashville where clients included Dierks Bentley, The Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw. Armed with the experience and connections, Smith started her own venture - Me Gusta Music - in 2010.
In her free time, Smith can usually be found chasing down her toddler, or fulfilling her role as the Associate Director for AIMP (Association of Independent Music Publishers)'s Nashville chapter.
DIRECTOR OF PUBLISHING ADMIN.
Tricia Proctor is a rare Nashville Native, and also a graduate of MTSU. Before joining Me Gusta Music in January 2016, Proctor worked at R2M Music and Words & Music. As Director of Publishing Admin, Proctor makes sure all societies are notified of cuts, registers songs and processes royalties. Essentially, she keeps everyone on track!
When she's not working, Proctor fine-tunes her skills as an expert furniture finder on Craigslist, and attends a Iot of concerts.
